Yes, the subject of this article probably seems very negative
to you, but it is very important that you read this all the
way through as I want to give you some very important tips
for setting your expectations for home business success.
The failure rate online is very high, but one of the main
reasons for this is because the majority of people give up
trying after one or two months! When they don't see the
desired results, they tend o quit.
Some are disappointed because they haven't made any money
yet and others spend more than they can afford on the
latest and greatest opportunities and advertising and
burn themselves out ( That happened to me when I got
started too).
If you are interested in earning an income online the
first thing you need to do is set your expectations
correctly. If you set your sights too high you will
be disappointed and become UN-motivated very quickly.
There are many people online who promise instant riches
and overnight success if you join their opportunity.
Sadly, these people are usually lying or exaggerating!
There is no way in this world that you can get rich
overnight. The only way that you can get rich quick
overnight is to win the lottery.
I am not one of these people who do that because I
believe in telling it like it is in plain English
as I would rather you started your online business
journey with the right expectations. I don't believe
that hype does any good.
It takes hard work and dedication to earn money online.
You will need to learn new things and spend at least a
few hours each week working online. You will also need
to be persistent and willing to keep trying beyond one
or two months.
Look at me. I think that I have the worst case. It
took me 4 years to finally make a profit online and
because I never quit, I am now earning a nice 5 figure
income online. ( This does not mean that it will happen
to you ).
In a similar way to offline businesses, online businesses
take a while to grow, but the rewards can be huge.
If I had been like the majority of people, I would have
been disappointed after these first few months and quit.
BUT, because I stuck at it I was able to build up a good
monthly income and exactly 4 years after I started I was
earning enough to quit the day job that I hated. Actually,
I did not quit it. I got laid off.
In case you think I had some special experience or talent
for running an online business, I just want to let you
know that:
1) I had never set up a website before
2) I knew absolutely nothing about marketing online
3) I had only a small amount of money available to invest
in my online business (less than $50 a month).
4) I had only 5-10 hours available each week to work on my
business
What I am trying to get across to you is that it is
possible for ANYONE to earn an income online regardless
of their experience.
As long as you are willing to learn, have a few hours
available every week, have access to a computer and the
internet and are willing to be persistent, you can
succeed online.
Start of with the right attitude and make sure that you
are not just an online business statistic!
